Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and MoneyOS for using the MoneyOS app and moneyos.io. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them with the Privacy notice.
Who can use MoneyOS
- You must be 18 or over, or 16 or 17 with your parent or guardian's agreement.
- You must give a real email address you control, and use MoneyOS only for your own money or money you are allowed to manage.
What MoneyOS is
MoneyOS is a tool for tracking and planning your money. It is not a bank, it does not hold or move your money, and it is not a regulated financial, investment, tax or legal adviser.
The AI money advisor and other suggestions are general information based on what you entered. They can be wrong. Check important decisions yourself, and for regulated decisions such as pensions, mortgages, investments or tax, speak to a licensed professional.
Your account and password
- Your data is encrypted with a key that comes from your password. If you forget your password, we cannot recover your data. Keep your password safe and do not share it.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at privacy@moneyos.io straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Legacy and shared pots
If you name a trusted person in Legacy, you agree that they may get access to your Legacy vault after the waiting period you choose, and after the inactivity period if you set one. If you share a pot, its members can see what is in that pot. Choose people you trust.
Fair use
Do not misuse MoneyOS. That includes trying to get into other people's accounts or our systems, sending automated traffic, overloading the service, using it for fraud or money laundering, or copying or reselling it. We may limit or close accounts that do this.
Free service and limits
MoneyOS is currently free. Some features, such as the AI advisor, have daily limits. We may change, add or remove features, and we will tell you in the app before we start charging for anything you already use.
Availability
We work hard to keep MoneyOS running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own records of anything critical.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Setup. This deletes your data from our servers straight away and cannot be undone. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses from decisions you make using MoneyOS, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. If you are a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
Law
If you live in Nigeria, the laws of Nigeria apply. If you live in the UK, the laws of the part of the UK where you live apply. You can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
